wasn't so bad, aktually :]
i spent first lesson walking around with year 7s while they took pictures. there was this one kid called liam, i thought he was a girl to begin with. him + his group were doing a sports drink advert. he had one thing to do in the ad: score a goal. this he could not do. according to one of the girls (who was tiny, i mean, REALLY tiny) said he was supposed to be good at football. he should play for england, he'd fit right in with his goal-missing and all.
lesson two was a bore. mr lees had us numbering books, ink-stamping books and sorting out old tests. i had to finish tilly's stamping because another teacher (who appears to be in love with her) took her aware to god knows where. the tes paper sorting was horrible. and so confusing. we had to sort them by date, year and level. they were all different colours and they were so jumbled. pleh.
period three was hilarious. me + sarah were in a bottom set year 8 class which was only about 15 students. all with a reading age of 7. none of them knew what was going on, and the teacher had no control over them whatsoever. i knew one of them. i spent the lesson 'helping' him with his work, which he refused to do. he said something about sandwich tourettes and kept shouting "Ham! Pickle! Cheese! Beef" and other such things which made me + sarah laugh. we're not very profesional.
period four was free. kinda. we had to sort out our timetables with ms lacey, which was kinda boring. i'm with tilly for most of my lessons, which is okay. i'm also in most of ms laceys classes, which is cool, because they usually involve some sort of technical failure that i can help fix. + she teacher the bottom set year 8 class. wahey!
final period was just me + tilly. sarah + kathryn were in an r.e class with mr. edge. his name is awesome tbh. "johnny edge" some kind of 80s kids tv hero. he kinda fails at teaching, though. he's nice, though. there are worse teachers to get in the school. me + tilly were stapling + using the photocopyer and more stapling. ;D
i went into town afterwards. we saw loads of people still 'working' it was quite fun to laugh at them. we have quite a good deal, tbh. because we work at the school we only have to work the regular school hours. for 2 days we don't have to come in until 9:30, and today we got to leave 20 minutes early. we may be able to leave a whole hour early on thursday. this is made of win and goodness. OH OH OH and there's free juice and brownies at break. NIIIICE.
i got a new shirt to wear. i don't like 'smart casual' it fails, but this shirt is nice (:
